SHONnetwork begins with a practical idea: the home is the opportunity, and the people are the heart of it. A room, a friendship, shared knowledge, a welcoming household, or a new community can begin with one connection.
The dollar figures are mathematical comparisons, not proposed spending programs. HUD count: January 2025 point-in-time estimate. They do not imply that everyone experiencing homelessness has the same housing needs.
A people-centered network
SHONnetwork exists to help people discover, form, and sustain compatible homes, households, extended families, and communities through voluntary, mutually beneficial relationships. It is not simply a rental directory or a dating site.
Some people have space to share. Others have skills, presence, friendship, experience, or ideas. SHONnetwork makes room for those possibilities without treating a person's income as the measure of their worth.
SHONnetwork is developing additional community, learning, social, and collaboration features. Features not yet available are not presented as active services.
