SHON
Supported Housing Opportunity Network
A people-centered network focused on discovering and forming compatible homes, households, companionship arrangements, and communities.
Explore SHON opportunitiesSHONnetwork invites individuals, organizations, businesses, educators, property owners, developers, and community builders to help create more opportunities for people to find homes, relationships, and belonging.
The home is the opportunity. The people are the heart of it.
SHONnetwork is a people-centered network for discovering, forming, and sustaining compatible homes, households, extended families, and communities through voluntary, mutually beneficial relationships.
People may have rooms, homes, time, skills, knowledge, companionship, creativity, land, technology, or resources to contribute. Our goal is to make these possibilities easier to discover and develop together.
Participation in SHONnetwork should remain free. Partnerships may expand available services without requiring people to purchase anything merely to belong.
SHON and SHANE are complementary concepts that can support different aspects of the network.

Support the networkSHONnetwork envisions games as a way to help people meet, enjoy shared experiences, and discover compatible personalities.
Chess, checkers, word games, board games, and cooperative challenges.
Hearts, spades, traditional card games, puzzles, and team challenges.
Collaborative storytelling, strategy, team play, and social gaming communities.
A gaming company could develop, integrate, distribute, maintain, and operate participating games or game catalogs, including any appropriate payment systems.
SHONnetwork could introduce interested participants to those games and receive an agreed share of qualifying revenue where appropriate.
Free games must remain available to people who cannot afford paid titles. Optional paid games may coexist with free participation. No purchase should be required simply to participate in SHONnetwork.
No gaming-company partnerships or licensed games are represented as active unless separately confirmed.
We envision a network that can help people discover relevant opportunities without requiring them to navigate countless disconnected systems.
Potential collaborators may help with:
Improve searches across people, homes, interests, communities, and compatible opportunities.
Connect reliable national, state, and local assistance directories with clear source attribution and updates.
Develop accessible messaging, moderated community chat rooms, multiplayer games, and other ways to connect.
Information-sharing partnerships would require appropriate permissions, privacy protections, technical agreements, and reliable update procedures.
Many places already exist but are vacant, underused, or poorly connected to people who could benefit from them.
SHONnetwork seeks partnerships that could help make these opportunities visible, including shared homes, caretaker-presence arrangements, cooperative households, and community initiatives.
Participants should be able to explore arrangements voluntarily, with clear expectations and mutual agreement.
Developing a people-centered network requires technology, accessibility work, outreach, community partnerships, and continuing maintenance.
We welcome conversations with foundations, fiscal sponsors, businesses, nonprofit organizations, donors, and others interested in supporting this work.
SHONnetwork is being developed as a nonprofit-minded initiative. No tax-deductible status, fiscal sponsorship agreement, or donation-processing arrangement is claimed here unless separately established.
Whether you represent an organization, business, foundation, property, educational program, technology company, or community initiative, we welcome partnership inquiries.
Useful starting points include what your organization does, what you might contribute, what support you would need, and what kind of collaboration you envision.
